Alice in Wonderland

I watched the movie this past weekend.  Alice lost her "muchness" only to find it later.  I can relate.

I withdrew yesterday

Thank you to all who encouraged me to stay in, but the outcome at the Democratic central committee meeting would be the same as the Republican meeting. I wish all the Democrats in the race well.  They are in the race for different reasons and I applaud them.

Debate in Pahrump and Elko this week posted 6/21/2011

I'll be debating Mark Amodei and Kirk Lippold.  I think we all have common interest when it comes to war/debt/taxes, Wall Street prosecutions, and corporations as People under the Constitution.

Harry Reid sends fundraiser letter for Marshall

If you want to get under Harry Reid's skin, support me.  When I was a Regent and tangled up with sports problems at UNLV, I learned a lot about the politics of sports.  "Be careful starting your car" was a statement I heard more than once.  Today I'm touting an idea.  The casinos who take book on college sports, should pay "fair use" to the schools.  This is no different than a movie or a song.  Colleges pay to "create the excitement" of a game and casinos use the games to make billions.

Last year I was the Democratic elected nominee in Congressional District 2.  Support was blocked almost everywhere.  Take me seriously when I say, the corporate interest is not the public interest.  I will work for the public interest.

Candidates getting frisky

I've been getting email from candidates to have a debate.  Until we have the Fairness Doctrine back, corporate media decides who you get to know so you can be an educated voter.  I'll certainly work to change that back to the good o'l days along with another good idea from the past, the Glass-Steagall Act.

Also, today I got an email to join a class-action suit against the RGJ for unfair coverage of candidates.  If I was going to do that I would have sued the LVRJ last year.  Can you sue for no coverage when you're the elected major party candidate for congress in a general election?

My To Do List While Waiting for the State Supreme Court

1.  Pay attention
2.  Stay in contact
3.  Prepare for the worst
4.  Hope for the best

I'm new to blogging so here we go. Who will Sandoval appoint to replace John Ensign?

If Dean Heller is appointed and a special election is conducted, who will you get to choose from?  One scenario is those who wish to run will file and the top vote-getter wins.  This way you get to choose from a group of individuals.  Another scenario has the county commissions make choices then narrows them down to one from each major party.  A third scenario has the political parties decide.  The parties would make up the rules.

As much as I would like to have all candidates run, I would rather see a "placeholder" appointed than to leave it in the hands of a few political operatives.  That just doesn't sound constitutional.  If it is decided that the voters won't be choosing who runs, then I hope someone sues for our right to vote.  I don't have the means to do that but perhaps someone else will.  What do you think?
